The Chairman of Abbeyfield Taunton has been officially handed the keys to their latest £1.6m residential development for older People in Taunton. Northfield Court built by Gadd Construct forms part of Gadd’s major new development at Urban Retreat on Pollards Way.
The development provides ten flats that have been specifically designed with the elderly in mind. Each flat has its own lounge, one or two bedrooms, kitchenette and shower room.
Chris Land, Gadd Construct Contracts Manger handed the keys to David Lowe, Chairman of Abbeyfield Taunton as the final touches were being made. David Lowe said ‘Abbeyfield Taunton are extremely pleased to have successfully completed this project with Gadd. They have worked closely with us over the last two years to ensure this development meets our specific requirements. Northfield Court provides an exceptionally high standard of residential accommodation incorporating facilities that will make life easier and more fulfilling for our residents.’
Geoff Wheeler, Gadd Group Development Director said ‘We are delighted that Abbeyfield are pleased with their new purpose built accommodation. We are now re-developing their former premises in Staplegrove Road. Woodstock House has been sympathetically converted and restored alongside four brand new homes for sale.
The rest of the Urban Retreat development is due for completion in the summer.
